Controller and contact

Site operator and contact information

This is a privately operated development or placeholder website. No paid, commercial or legal services are currently offered through it. The controller's name, postal address and public email contact are shown in the image above.

Hosting and page delivery

This website is hosted on a virtual private server provided by Contabo. The server is located in Karlsruhe, Germany.

When you visit, the server processes your IP address, connection time, requested address, HTTP request headers and TLS connection information to deliver the page and protect the server. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website. Connection data is technically necessary; without it, delivery is not possible. Data is not used to analyse individual browsing behaviour.

Contabo provides the hosting infrastructure and may have access where necessary for its operation, maintenance or security. The confirmed location of this VPS does not mean that all processing by service providers takes place exclusively in Germany.

Server logs and retention

HTTP access logging is disabled for these pages. Ordinary page requests are not recorded in a separate website access log. Connection data is otherwise processed while needed to handle the connection, unless it appears in an operational or security event described below.

Caddy operational, warning and error messages are stored by Docker's local logging driver on this server. Depending on the event, these messages can include an IP address, timestamp, requested address or other connection details. Logs rotate at 10 MB per file, with at most three files retained. When rotation exceeds that count, the oldest file is removed. This is a size-based deletion mechanism, not deletion after a fixed number of days.

The host firewall records selected security events, including source and destination IP addresses, ports, protocol and timestamps. These can be stored in the system journal and in firewall, kernel and system log files. Firewall logging is retained to detect and investigate attacks and protect access to the server; it is not used as visitor analytics.

The firewall, kernel and system text logs rotate weekly and retain four rotated files in addition to the active file. Empty files do not rotate; execution depends on the daily log rotation service. Older rotations are deleted when a further rotation exceeds this count. The persistent system journal uses storage-based rotation and deletion; no explicit maximum age is configured. Consequently, no uniform day-based deletion deadline applies to these security logs. The legal basis for operational and security logging is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in maintaining security and diagnosing faults.

Email enquiries

If you email the address shown above, the sender details, message and attachments are processed to respond. The mailbox uses Microsoft's Outlook.com consumer email service. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for handling general enquiries; Article 6(1)(b) applies where a message concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps requested by you. Email contact is voluntary.

Messages are kept while needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, and where applicable for legal retention obligations or legal claims. They are deleted when those purposes and obligations no longer require retention. No fixed mailbox deletion period or automatic mailbox cleanup is claimed.

Microsoft and its service providers receive email data to operate and secure the service. For its own processing, Microsoft identifies Microsoft Corporation and, for the EEA, Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited as controllers. Processing may take place outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Microsoft describes safeguards including standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, its participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details and information on safeguards are available in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Other recipients and local resources

The operator and the hosting provider have access as necessary for website operation. Email recipients include the email service provider described above. Data may be disclosed to competent authorities or other recipients where legally required.

Images and stylesheets are served locally; fonts come from your device. There are no analytics, trackers, forms, embedded third-party content, external font services or JavaScript. These pages do not set cookies or use browser storage. A normal page visit does not contact Microsoft; the privacy link leads to an external website only if you choose to follow it.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability of your personal data. You may object under Article 21 GDPR to processing based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation. Contact the controller using the details above. No consent-based tracking is used; if you separately give consent for another specific processing operation, you may withdraw that consent with future effect.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, especially in your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is a relevant authority for this operator. See the Berlin supervisory authority for contact details.
